LASY Playing with Purpose™ is an innovative programme offered to pre-schoolers that incorporates learning into the play-time of your child.

Studies have shown that a child’s brain develops at a exponential rate in the first 6 years of his/her life. Hence to fully benefit your child, it is key that parents and teachers design environments that encourage and enhance problem solving skills from a young age.

As with any of our youth programmes, we seek to create a holistic programme that is not only strong in learning outcome but also focuses on the social and moral development of your child. As such, we pay special attention to sharing values of Respect, Responsibility, Citizenship, Trustworthiness, Gratitude, Care, Fairness, and Introspection to each and every child.

SCIENCE OF CONSTRUCTION PLAY

Young children are naturally curious about their surroundings and excited to explore and learn about the wonderful world around them. Their experiences during the first 6 years of their life shape their brain’s development and play time is an important part of learning.

Development psychologist Rachel Keen notes,

“It is important that parents and teachers design environments that encourage and enhance problem solving skills from a young age.”

Integration of LASY into their play time gives strong benefits to the young mind. Studies have shown that construction blocks play, such as LASY, helps children in these six areas:



The programme is designed to nurture the child in various aspects with methodology derived from Harvard’s Professor Howard Gardner’s Theory of 8 Multiple Intelligences. Professor Gardner viewed intelligence as “the capacity to solve problems or to fashion products that are value in one or more cultural settings and came out with list of 8 intelligences namely, Linguistic, Logical- Mathematical, Musical, Bodily-Kinaesthetic, Spatial-Visual, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, and Naturalist.

During the programme, the child will be:
